As Shams notes, talks could always resume at a later time, but for now the Siakam dream is dead. It’s hard to know what caused the sudden change of heart. Perhaps Siakam’s camp made it known he wouldn’t re-sign in Sacramento. Perhaps Toronto was insisting on including Keegan Murray. It’s hard to know until details leak out, if they ever do.
Whatever the reason, enjoy watching Siakam in Sacramento tonight, because you’re unlikely to see him here again anytime soon.
