Merrimack freshman guard Budd Clark was named the NEC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week.
Clark averaged a season-high 23 points per game in the two Warrior wins last week. He scored a game-high 29 points, including a game-winner against Stonehill College on Thursday. He followed that performance up with a 17 point game against Long Island on Saturday. The freshman point guard also averaged six assists and three rebounds in the two games.
Clark currently leads all NEC freshman in points per game with a 12.9 average. He ranks first in the conference in steals (69) and steals per game (2.56). The point guard from Philly also ranks second overall in the conference in assists (105) and assists per game (3.89).
