What are your thoughts on the current trend of expecting immediate success from recently drafted NBA players? Jermaine O’Neal: I think the difference between when I came out as far as expectations and now it’s more social media-driven and more access to people. And, it’s that immediate gratification, like everybody needs to be validated right now versus going through a process. When I came through, there wasn’t as much social media. It allowed me to grow at my own pace. Even when I was, even on the flip side of it, when I felt like I was ready to go, they weren’t ready for me, but nobody knew about it.
