The Washington Capitals held practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex on Saturday, and it was a special Kids Day event. Alex Ovechkin appeared with his youngest son, Ilya, and the team welcomed 14-year-old Pascal Lettkemann from Austria to fulfill his Make-A-Wish dream.

After a four-year wait, Pascal Lettkemann traveled from Klagenfurt, Austria, to fulfill his Make-A-Wish dream in Washington. He was greeted by Ovechkin, who surprised him with a personalized jersey and an invitation to skate with the team.

Pascal, a leukemia survivor, impressed players and coaches with his skills and hopes to join the NHL one day.
Despite the delay caused by the pandemic, Pascal and his father are enjoying their time in Washington, grateful for Pascal’s restored health.
