Soldiers of democracy rejoice, as the much-teased mechs are finally coming “soon” to the popular third-person shooter Helldivers 2.
Arrowhead Game Studios posted today on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account announcing that the “EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits are in full production in the factories of Tien Kwan.”
We also hear that they’re “ready for deployment soon” and get to see what they look like in the poster below.
Fans of the game have been asking for the addition of mecha suits for quite a while and looks like they’ll soon be given exactly what they want.
At the moment, there is no release date for the update that will introduce this new feature, but “soon” (without “TM”) is quite promising. Of course, we’ll let you know as soon as Arrowhead announces anything official.
Helldivers 2 is currently available for PS5 and PC via Steam. It’s actually published by Sony Interactive Entertainment on both platforms and If you want to purchase a physical copy you can do so on Amazon and join the strenuous fight for freedom and democracy.
The game saw a very strong launch on both on PS5 and PC and it may encourage Sony to keep going on the path of releasing its games on PC as well, especially after the PlayStation’s new chairman mentioned that he’d be aggressive in using it to improve profit margins going forward.
