Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: Nikke studio Shift Up has already begun advertising for employees for a new project, and it sounds like an ambitious one.
Per the official Shift Up website (which is in Korean; we’re using machine translation), listings originally spotted by ResetEra user Lucia show Shift Up is looking for programmers, designers, and artists.
The game, according to Shift Up’s homepage, is a “cross-platform next-gen project”, which suggests that it won’t be a PlayStation 5 exclusive like Stellar Blade or a mobile-focused title like Nikke (although it could be a more AAA-style mobile-compatible game in the vein of Genshin Impact).
Shift Up doesn’t give too much away in the position briefs it’s listed, but it does say that the project will be an “AAA-level urban SF action RPG”. Again, we’re using machine translation, so take that with a pinch of salt.
The writer listing, which is under the “designer” category, also asks for writers familiar with “adapting original IP or stories”, so it sounds like it won’t be an adaptation of an existing IP, although it could still be a sequel to an existing Shift Up title.
Interestingly enough, the listing calls for writers familiar with “the multi-hero genre”, as well as “console/PC/mobile subculture game content scenarios”, adding more fuel to the suggestion that Shift Up’s next game could be a Genshin Impact contender a la Wuthering Waves.

Shift Up is also looking for monster and character concept artists, as well as animators and technical artists with experience in Unreal Engine, so it sounds like this new game will be pretty impressive on the technical front.
It’s worth bearing in mind that this game hasn’t officially been announced yet; after all, we’re still a few weeks out from Stellar Blade‘s release, so it’s probably going to be a while until we hear details of this project.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens next. In the meantime, Goddess of Victory: Nikke is available now across PC and mobile, and you can check out the Stellar Blade demo on PS5 ahead of its April 26th release.
