Dillon Jones follows Dame Lillard’s footsteps; compared to Josh Hart

Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

DJ: I think now, when you see Josh Hart how he’s killing it, I think it’s harder to find a better comparison for me than him, especially from where I’m scaling up to be in the NBA. Hart was a heck of a player at Villanova. He had the ball in his hands a lot, but once he came to the NBA, he found value in what he does. He’s a heck of a player in transition, rebounding the ball, being tough on the wings, and doing whatever coach Thibodeau needs him to do as that utility piece. I think it’s harder to find a guy I compare to than him.

If you look at secondary creators when Jalen Brunson was in Dallas and when Tyus Jones was in Memphis as guys that are not these polarizing athletes but were able to control the game with their IQ and be secondary playmakers. I guess you can look at that in a way with plus size.
