Washington Capitals’ 2024 Preseason Schedule Released

The Washington Capitals released their six-game 2024 preseason schedule, which will begin on Sunday, September 22, on Thursday afternoon. The exhibition slate will end exactly 13 days later, which will likely precede the NHL regular season by three days.

Here is the full Capitals’ exhibition schedule:

  • Sunday 9/22 vs. Philadelphia Flyers — 3 PM ET
  • Tuesday 9/24 at Boston Bruins — 7 PM ET
  • Wednesday 9/25 at New Jersey Devils — 7 PM ET
  • Friday 9/27 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets — 7 PM ET
  • Monday 9/30 at Columbus — 7 PM ET
  • Saturday 10/5 vs. Boston — 5 PM ET

Though there has not been an announcement yet, team off-ice testing and media day prior to the opening of training camp will likely be the Thursday prior to Washington’s preseason opener. The first day of on-ice workouts will follow the day after.

The NHL will release the full 2024-25 regular-season schedule ahead of the NHL Draft at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, June 28.
