Unforeseen Incidents, a new point-and-click adventure from Backwoods Entertainment and Application Systems Heidelberg, is now open for pre-registration on Android. This narrative-driven adventure game puts you in the shoes of an unlikely hero who must uncover what’s happening to his hometown before it’s too late.
Taking place in the small community of Yelltown, you follow local handyman Harper Pendrell as he begins to uncover a strange conspiracy. And it couldn’t come at a worse time, because Yelltown is slowly becoming the epicentre of an unknown pandemic sweeping the nation.
As far as features go, if you’ve seen one point-and-click game you’ve seen them all. But for those who want something a little lighter on the humour and heavier on the atmosphere, you don’t get much heavier than a strange conspiracy taking place in a small town overrun with a mysterious disease.
Voices in your head
But in terms of actual features, Unforeseen Incidents does boast some additional stuff, like a full German and English voice-track, and a full original soundtrack. Unforeseen Incidents is very much portraying itself as a throwback to classic mystery games that have, for better or worse, been overshadowed by surreal humour in the genre.
