The Washington Capitals announced the roster that will play in their third preseason game on Wednesday night at the New Jersey Devils (7 PM ET, Monumental Sports Network locally, NHL Network nationally).

Defenseman Jakob Chychrun, who was acquired from the Ottawa Senators for Nick Jensen and a third-round pick on July 1; left-wing Andrew Mangiapane, who was acquired from the Calgary Flames for a second-round pick on June 27; and goaltender Logan Thompson, who was acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights for two third-round picks on June 29 are set to suit up at Prudential Center. Right-wing Brandon Duhaime, who signed a two-year contract with the Capitals as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, will also play for the first time since joining Washington.

2018 Stanley Cup Champion left-wing Jakub Vrana, who is attending training camp on a PTO, will appear for the second time this preseason.

Wednesday’s outing will be the last of a back-to-back for Washington after the team lost to the Boston Bruins by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday.

Teams are required to dress at least eight veterans per exhibition game. Alex Ovechkin, Dylan Strome, and John Carlson will also appear for the first time this preseason against New Jersey.
