Avalon Hill has revealed more information about the first expansion for Talisman Fifth Edition. The expansion is called Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons, and it introduces a brand new co-op mode, adding more replay value to the tabletop experience.
The Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons Release
According to an official press release, Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons will allow 2-6 players to work together on an adventure to clear a number of challenges. It does require the base version of Talisman Fifth Edition to work.
The expansion contains five Trials. In each Trial, players must place 2 Talisman on Places of Power, unseal the Portal of Power, and defeat that Trial’s adversary.
When each Trial is completed, players will open up a collection of envelopes and boxes containing a mystery figure, mystery cards, and the objective of the next Trial. Rinse and repeat until all five Trials are complete or until your party fails.
Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons is available now at various retail stores. It contains 50 new game cards, a doom tracker, tokens, and more. It is being sold at an MSRP of $33.99.

Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons and HeroQuest First Light
Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons isn’t the only new release to be discussed by Avalon Hill. That same press release includes release date info for HeroQuest First Light, a starter set designed for brand new players.
In HeroQuest First Light, up to four players form an adventuring party and explore a changing 2-sided dungeon board. They’ll discover treasure, complete quests, and battle even forces controlled by the game master, Zargon.
The box will contain 100 unique components, including a dragon miniature, four hero minis, and 67 cardboard standees, In addition, the game supports a free companion app. One that takes on the role of Zargon, allowing all players at the table to be heroes.
HeroQuest First Light is available for pr-order right now at Target at an MSRP of $49.99. It will be available in-store January 1, 2025.
