Washington Capitals Blank Boston Bruins, 2-0, In Preseason Finale; Aliaksei Protas Scores

The Washington Capitals beat the Boston Bruins by a score of 2-0 at Capital One Arena on Saturday, the final day of NHL preseason action. Opening night of the regular season in North America across the league will be on Tuesday after the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres played a back-to-back in Prague, Czechia this weekend. Washington finished the exhibition season with a 3-3-0 record. Goaltender Charlie Lindgren played the full game, making 17 saves.
