Zephyrs hang 7-1 loss on Sea Wolves


BATON ROUGE, La – The Zephyrs struck for four goals in the middle frame on Friday night, to rout the Sea Wolves, 7-1.

The Sea Wolves were outmatched throughout the contest, and trailed 7-0 with less than two minutes left in the game.

Dalton Anderson ruined the shutout bid by the Zephyrs for the 7-1 final.

Baton Rouge’s Elijah Wilson hit for a double in the win.His first of the match made it 2-0 headed to the second period.

Wilson’s hit for his double midway through the third period as an exclamation point on the Sea Wolves’ offensive efforts for the night.

Breandan Colgan made 22 saves for the win, surrendering only the late goal.

Jackson Bond also scored a pair of the goals for the Sea Zephyrs. He bookended the second period outburst for a 6-0 advantage headed to the third period.

Wilson had four points on the night for the number one star of the game.

Samuel Best got the start for Biloxi, but was given the hook midway through the second period. He yielded four goals on 26 shots.

Phil-Antoine Trepanier made 13 saves and gave up three goals in relief.
