Sometimes there are games that inspire you, then there are those that make you sad, or even horrify you. Then there’s Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, which is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. So if you enjoyed the adventures of Turnip Boy and his tax evasion, you won’t want to miss as he graduates to grand theft!
As you might expect from the previous entry in the series, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, this is a roguelike, top-down hack ‘n slash. Or in this case, run ‘n gun as Turnip Boy takes on the Botanical Bank. Akin to something like Payday, you’ll need to manage and shake down hostages as you progress through the bank, improving each run as you go.
And you’ll have plenty to contend with in your heist. Just like Payday, you’ll have guards and security to contend with ranging from simple rent-a-cops to elite veggie SWAT teams. Add onto that a host of other activities to do, returning characters, collectable cosmetics and more and this shapes up to be quite the haul!

Turnip Boy as a series could very easily be one of those franchises that are solely about its silly name, with little depth beyond that. But what I always find interesting is that developer Plug In Digital always seems to try and live up to the title beyond just having a roguelite hack ‘n slash with a funny name.
