NY Rangers Game 60: Rangers vs Nashville

The Rangers begin tonight with a different look. For starters, they are still four points back of the last wild card spot, but three teams jumped in front of them over the weekend. They played well enough to win against Toronto, but sometimes thats just how hockey goes. Now they need to go on an extended run to put distance between themselves and those teams. The run will also be needed to catch one of Ottawa, Detroit, or Columbus.

The Blueshirts have a new look to them tonight as well, with Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey gone and Reilly Smith held out for trade reasons. Calvin de Haan, Brett Berard, and Juuso Parssinen will draw in, infusing some youth into the lineup along with Brennan Othmann. The Rangers are a team in transition, though that is no excuse against a bad team like Nashville.
