According to Ken Schott of The Daily Gazette, Merrimack associate head coach Dan Jewell is a finalist for the open head coaching job at RPI.
Jewell is reportedly a finalist with AIC head coach Eric Lang and Air Force associate head coach Joe Doyle.
Jewell, 38, has been with the Warriors since 2019. Before Merrimack, he spent two years on the RPI staff under former head coach Dave Smith. While he was with the Engineers, Jewell helped recruit two of the best classes in Smith’s tenure.
Since joining Merrimack, the Warriors have had two Top 10 recruiting classes according to Neutral Zone, and the team is on pace for another Top 10 class in 2025 (currently ranked No. 8 by the scouting service).
