Dubois ‘Will KILL’ Chisora, Says Whyte: Journeyman’s Title Pursuit Deemed ‘Disaster’ By Fans

Dillian Whyte says IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois will NOT fight Derek Chisora next because he has “bigger fights” available. Whyte claims that Dubois will “KILL Derek” if that fight happens, which fans on social media agree with. That fight would be a disaster.

Chisora, 41, has been skillfully maneuvered by his promoters into the mandatory position for a title shot against Dubois. The old warhorse Delboy (36-13, 23 KOs) is already talking about his plans for the ring walk for the fight against IBF champion Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs).

Chisora’s Motivation

Derek sounds confident that he’ll challenge Dubois for his title next at Wembley Stadium in his 50th and supposedly final fight of his career. Fans believe that Chisora’s focus is on the money he’ll be getting for that title fight against Dubois rather than his chances of winning, which are nonexistent. He’s not dumb.

Chisora knows he’ll be out of his league, but the millions he’ll get for that fight will give him a soft landing in his retirement years.

Whyte, 36, doesn’t say who Dubois should fight instead of Chisora, but when his name was mentioned as an option in an interview, he agreed. However, he would be no different than Chisora. Whyte is just as washed as him and had no business fighting a top-notch titleholder like Dubois or Oleksandr Usyk. Whyte is British level, and he doesn’t belong fighting for titles.

“Kill” Claim

“No, he ain’t going ot fight Derek Chisora. No,” said Dillian Whyte to Secondsout when asked about his thoughts on a possible fight between Derek Chisora and IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois that could happen next. “He [Dubois] ain’t going to fight, no.

“Dubois will KILL Derek. He might actually die. Seriously. There are bigger and better fights for Dubois to take right now. It’s just business. Derek Chisora is at the bottom of that list. There are bigger and better guys at the top of the list. Yes,” said Whyte when told that he’s at the ‘top of the list’ for Dubois to fight.

Dubois will destroy the 100% shot Derek Chisora if that mismatch happens. Chisora is going to force the IBF’s hand, and the only way he won’t get a crack at fighting Dubois is if he vacates.

That would be a nightmare for Chisora if Dubois gives up the belt, leaving Derek to fight the next-highest ranked contender, Efe Ajagba, for the vacant IBF strap. He’ll lose to him, too, but it won’t be the big-money retirement payday that a clash against Dubois would be.

“I’m open by the end of June. I had a conversation with Frank, and he said there’s availability to the end of June. I kept my training up. I’m still in good shape. I never ran so much in my life before,” said Whyte.
