Mychal Thompson: But you’re right. To me, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the greatest player ever. He’s the greatest high school player ever. He’s the greatest college player ever, by far. And when you look at his résumé in the NBA—six MVPs, five Finals MVPs—so to me, he’s the greatest ever. If you say Jordan’s the greatest, you say LeBron, even Kobe—you’re not a nut, you’re not crazy to think that way, of course. But to me, yeah, Kareem is way too often overlooked. And when the GOAT conversation comes up, you’re right—only LeBron and Michael Jordan are mentioned. Kareem’s never mentioned. Not even Wilt Chamberlain.
