Washington Capitals, Montreal Canadiens First Round Stanley Cup Playoff Series To Open Monday

The NHL released the full schedule for the first round of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday. The Washington Capitals and Montreal Canadiens will open their series at Capital One Arena on Monday (7 PM ET, Monumental Sports Network locally, ESPN nationally).

There will be one two-day break in between games of the series: between Game 4 in Montreal and Game 5 in Washington. Every other game will be separated by two days.

The tournament will start with a Game 1 doubleheader between the Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues at Canadian Life Centre on Saturday (6 PM ET, TNT) and Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche (8:30 PM ET, TNT).

Times for Games 1-4 are released: every one will start at 7 PM ET except for Game 4 on Sunday, April 27 (6:30 PM ET).
