Ryan Garcia is one of many who noted how Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs) “changed his whole style” during the middle of his fight with Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs), turning the fight into trench warfare to win a 12 round unanimous decision in their fight in London.

The younger, faster, and more powerful Benn had given middleweight contender Eubank Jr. problems in the first quarter of the fight. He hurt Eubank Jr, staggering him in round three, injuring his jaw, and cutting him.
Final Punch Stats
– Chris Eubank Jr.: 367 of 912 for 40.24%.
– Conor Benn: 215 of 593 for 36.26%
Inside Warfare
What Eubank Jr. did was change his whole style from round four, taking the fight to the inside to neutralize Benn’s power and speed. On the inside, Eubank Jr. overwhelmed Benn with rapid-fire combinations, throwing nonstop without tiring and taking full control of the contest. He never looked back from that point on.
The scores were 116-112, 116-112, and 116-112. I had it `117-111 for Eubank Jr. (9-3), as he appeared to win every round from the fourth on.

“I had Eubank hurt three or four times in there noticeably. I just couldn’t get the finish,” said Conor Benn at the post-fight press conference. “So, I’ll make sure next time that I finish it there. No one likes to lose. A close fight. You got to be harsh on yourself.
“I look at myself and say, ‘This ain’t good enough for me.’ I want to win. I don’t work hard to lose. I give everything I have. I made sacrifices that were so hard to make, but I just need to do better.”
Benn only appeared to have Eubank Jr. hurt once in the fight. It was Benn who was hurt several times in the later rounds, looking like he was in serious trouble in rounds 10, 11, and 12.
