Joy Taylor ‘nervous’ for nephew after stealing thunder with confession – Football – Sports

Joy Taylor, host on FOX Sports 1, has admitted she’s “nervous” about the prospect of watching her nephew play in the NFL due to the intense personal connection.

Mason Taylor, top tight end pick and son of football legend Jason Taylor, was anticipated to be a boundary selection between the first and second rounds, which saw Shedeur Sanders slide after dad Deion’s criticsm of Cleveland, where he ended up picked in the fifth round. Taylor’s performances for the LSU Tigers propelled his draft stock high into the speculation arena prior to the event this week.

In a twist that aligns with sporting narratives, the 20-year-old got scooped up by the New York Jets in the second round at the 42nd overall slot, ready to share field strategies with ex-Missouri Tiger Armand Membou, just moments after Joy made a raunchy confession on her podcast.

Taylor will once again be swamped by the poignant emotions she experienced while watching her brother compete years ago. Ever since he hung up his cleats 14 years back, Taylor has found the NFL viewing experience far more relaxed.

However, as her nephew gears up for his debut next season, she’s bracing herself for another stint of heartfelt investment in the game.

Taylor revealed she would be tuning into the NFL Draft from Los Angeles due to her FS1 commitments Thursday night, but plans to reunite with her family over the weekend. Reflecting on her brother’s 1997 NFL Draft experience, Taylor recalled how he anxiously checked the phone line before receiving the life-changing call from Jimmy Johnson, drafting him to the Miami Dolphins in the third round.

“He kept checking the phone line to make sure no one had bumped the phone line out from the wall,” she reminisced. “And then eventually, Jimmy Johnson called and drafted him. But I remember seeing him walk up and down the street on the phone with Jimmy, which was wild. And now… 28 years later, it’s going to be my nephew.”

Just before this, Taylor revived the Two Personal Show for its second season, making headlines with her bold statement that she “needs sex every day” during the show’s relaunch. With Taylor Rooks stepping down as co-host, Taylor aims to spice up the program by inviting guests into the studio to discuss a variety of topics, kicking off the new season with a bang.

Life Coach Dr. Cheyenne Bryant stepped in to offer guidance and, in a teaser for the episode, disclosed that her “libido is through the roof”. Following this revelation, Taylor shockingly admitted: “Every year I get older, I’m like, ‘What am I gonna do?’ I have to have sex every day, and I can’t, I’m not.”
