The Cuban Scull is a pure boxer who will make it tough for Alvarez to get his shots off. Scull will be moving a lot, landing single shots, and frustrating the Mexican superstar. He will make Canelo look bad, especially if he gasses early like he did in his last two fights against Edgar Berlanga and Munguia.
People would have preferred that Canelo skip this fight and go straight into his planned mega-clash against Terence Crawford, which boxing fans look forward to.
Munguia vs. Surace 2
Super middleweight contender Munguia (44-2, 35 KOs) will try to avenge his previous loss to France’s Surace 26-0-2, 5 KOs) tonight. Mungui was knocked out in the sixth round on December 14th last year in Tijuana in what some viewed as a cherry pick gone wrong.
Surace had been chosen as an opponent to make Jaime look good, beating a guy with an inflated record, but it backfired on the popular Mexican fighter when he was blasted out. Surace’s lightning-quick right-hand shots were too much for the easy-to-hit Munguia.
