The 2025 NHL Entry Draft starts in just a few short hours, and the Nashville Predators currently have three first-round picks:
- 5th overall — their own, thanks to some bad lotto luck
- 23rd overall — from the Tampa Bay Lightning
- 26th overall — originally from the Vegas Golden Knights, acquired via the San Jose Sharks
They also currently have six more picks over the following six rounds:
- 35th — their own
- 55th — from Tampa
- 67th — their own
- 131st — their own
- 163rd — their own
- 182nd — from the Colorado Avalanche
They have no picks in the fourth or seventh rounds, and pick twice in the second and sixth. It’s a promising setup, and we hope to see some exciting prospects added to the roster, whether by draft or by trade.
Quick hits on the first-round picks will come tonight after they’re drafted (much as I’d love to be able to write them up beforehand), while the Day 2 coverage will most likely be a summary after the draft has concluded.
