Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers begin their season a week earlier than everyone else on Saturday 6 September, while the full opening weekend of the season involving all 10 teams is scheduled for Saturday 13 September.

There are 15 midweek gamedays in this season’s schedule, compared to 18 in 2024/25 (excluding Cup elimination rounds).

128 games are scheduled for Saturday nights, with 113 on Sundays and 52 on Fridays – the highest number of Friday games in recent memory. A further 28 games are set for Wednesday night, with 12 spread over the remaining days during the festive period only.

The following dates have been set aside:

  • Wednesday 10 or Wednesday 17 December are being held as options for the Challenge Cup Elimination Game.
  • The Challenge Cup Semi-Finals are provisionally scheduled for Wednesday 11, Wednesday 18 and Wednesday 25 February. Teams would play on two of these dates.
  • The Playoffs will take place between 10-12 April.
  • Should Nottingham Panthers not make the IIHF Continental Cup Final, a fixture may move forward to the weekend of 17 & 18 January to give them a home game on that weekend.
