Adam Fox will return tonight for the Rangers in the biggest game of the season against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Fox practiced in full today, quarterbacking the top powerplay unit. Zac Jones was quarterbacking the second powerplay unit, and he will be rewarded with his strong play by staying in the lineup. Newly acquired Carson Soucy, who has struggled since his acquisition, will be a healthy scratch.
Fox returning is huge for the Rangers. Tonight is a must win for the Blueshirts, as Columbus has a game in hand but both teams have 70 points. A regulation win for the Blueshirts means Columbus must catch them. A regulation loss essentially puts the Rangers four points back with a brutal upcoming schedule.
The last time the Rangers had a must win, they got crushed. Let’s hope they show up this time.
