Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson are true game-time decisions, meaning they will take warmups and after will make a decision as to whether they are good to go. Ovechkin is dealing with a lower-body injury after getting dangled up with Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Staal. He did take the morning skate but was on and off.

Wilson broke his nose after taking a high hit from Los Angeles Kings forward Alex Laferriere. Carbery said that Wilson playing will be dependent on “facial comfort”. He did not skate this morning.

Sonny Milano skated in a non-contact jersey and will not play. Milano also has an upper-body injury. Meanwhile, Rasmus Sandin remains out due to an upper-body injury. Sandin has not played since Jan. 3 against the New Jersey Devils.

Darcy Kuemper will get the start in goal.

Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena.
