Andrew, would you want to be a head coach of an NBA team? And then the connected question is: would Pro be hired to your staff? Andrew Bogut: Uh, look, I’d never say never. Right now—no. I don’t think, you know, I don’t need the money, so that’s definitely not a motivator for me. I’d love to one day coach our national team at an Olympics or international tournament type stuff. I think just coaching in the NBL appeals to me right now from a family situation. We play 28 games a season; the season runs from September to March. So going in as an assistant to hopefully one day become a head coach is a goal. Like, any assistant that says they don’t want to be a head coach, I think is lying to you. I think everyone wants to eventually be a head coach if you’re an assistant. As far as the NBA goes, like I said, you never know what happens down the track. But I just—I can’t—I don’t do well with the fakeness bullsh*t. People say it’s much more relationship-based than X’s and O’s these days. I disagree with that. I think it’s more overly fake relationship-based than X’s and O’s these days. You gotta kind of—as a coach—you know, Pro always makes the jokes around: You gotta know all the language of what the cool young kids are talking these days. And there’s nothing more cringeworthy than seeing a 40- or 45-year-old white guy with his hat on backward, trying to relate and be hipsterish or fashiony or whatever it is—whatever the [ __ ] catch-cry is for that year.
