Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of Bill Belichick, seems to be pushing back against critics of her relationship with the North Carolina (UNC) head coach, suggesting she’s being unfairly targeted.
Belichick, 73, who has spent most of his career as one of the NFL’s most enigmatic figures, has been thrust into the limelight this year due to his relationship with 24-year-old Hudson. The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach recently appeared on CBS to discuss his new book, ‘The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.’
However, the interview didn’t go as planned, leading to increased scrutiny of their relationship. Despite this, Belichick gave another interview on ‘Good Morning America,’ where he sat down with former New York Giants star Michael Strahan and praised Hudson for the positive influence she’s had on his life.
Yet the attention surrounding the couple doesn’t seem to be fading, even after North Carolina brought on Brandon Faber, the former Chicago Bears PR director, to manage the fallout from the CBS interview.
Now, it appears that Hudson, who was reportedly banned by UNC from entering their team facility, has had enough of the criticism.
A post on X by user Curry Hicks Sage suggested that the reason Belichick and Hudson’s relationship is attracting so much attention is because someone is trying to harm the former NFL head coach’s career.
“We live in a culture much too rife with lazy conspiratorial thinking so I try to be very careful when speculating about where real nefariousness exists but this one feels like someone is trying to put the screws (no pun intended) to Belichick and Hudson is part of a bigger plot,” wrote the X user.
This sparked a response from another X user called Jordon Hudson, who retorted with the hashtag “#scapeGOAT.”
While it’s not confirmed that this is Hudson, Belichick’s official X account does follow this user.
Moreover, this account has also re-shared comments directed at former ESPN analyst Pablo Torre. Recently, Torre disclosed that sources have informed him of concerns within the Belichick family that their relationship could tarnish the legacy of the Tar Heels head coach.
“There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill’s legacy, reputation – everything he has built and worked for over decades,” Torre said on his podcast ‘Pablo Torre Finds Out.’
