LAS VEGAS — Rising third-year Celtic Jordan Walsh was ejected in the second quarter of Monday’s Celtics Summer League game against the Miami Heat.
Walsh received two technical fouls in seven seconds in the second quarter of Monday’s game and was subsequently ejected. The first technical foul came in a dust-up against forward Eric Stevenson after he finished a running finger-roll layup.
On the ensuing possession, Walsh fouled Pelle Larsson, and both players received technical fouls.
Walsh was in the midst of a strong game when he was ejected, tallying 13 points on 5 of 8 shooting along with 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
The 21-year-old is having a strong Summer League thus far. He recorded 17 points on 6-12 shooting in the Summer League opener.
Walsh has seen little opportunity so far in his young NBA tenure. After being selected 38th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, he spent most of his rookie season in the G League and appeared in just 9 NBA games. Last season, he spent most of the season with the parent club, but averaged just 9.2 points in 52 games.
