Chris Paul unlikely to be traded?

The best talent known to be on the board, Hawks All-Star guard Dejounte Murray, doesn’t make sense for the Warriors either, sources said — especially considering how strongly Chris Paul upheld Golden State during Stephen Curry’s bench minutes before Paul was sidelined by a fracture in his left hand. The veteran floor general was hoisting pregame jumpers at Barclays Center on Monday and looked to be quickly trending toward a return to action. Paul also bills as unlikely to be traded, sources said.

Anthony Slater: Andrew Wiggins is probable to return for the Warriors tomorrow in Philadelphia. Practiced today. Gary Payton II is unlikely the next two games, but nearing a return. Practiced. Chris Paul was getting some post practice work in today. Shooting/running. -via Twitter @anthonyVslater / February 6, 2024
The Magic have been on this track for over a year, looking for long-term help at point guard. They were involved in talks last year for Fred VanVleet before the Raptors held onto him (and subsequently lost him in free agency). Orlando has kicked around every potential option on the board, and the latest interest involves two veterans: Kyle Lowry and Chris Paul, according to sources. -via Action Network / February 4, 2024
The other name mentioned is Chris Paul. The Warriors are obviously keen to shuffle the deck chairs on the Titanic that is their season. Details of talks aren’t known, but Jonathan Isaac and Moses Moody are players each team has interest in for a potential deal. Whether the Magic and Warriors are willing to trade those players may be an entirely different question. -via Action Network / February 4, 2024
