Class of 2026 forward Trey Thompson is the latest prospect to land an IU basketball scholarship offer.
The 6-foot-8 Thompson, who plays at Greeneville High School in Tennessee, reported the offer Monday morning on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
He is rated the No. 137 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite in the rising senior class.
Thompson has offers from Butler, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier and several other schools.
According to Trent Markwith, Thompson was watched by Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisville, Kansas, Purdue, Virginia, IU, Virginia Tech and Providence during the May evaluation period over the weekend.
Thompson took an official visit to Purdue last fall.
He plays for Tennessee Impact on the adidas 3SSB circuit and averaged 18 points on 58.2 percent shooting this spring, including a 42.9 mark on 3s.
