The abrupt and bizarre death of colony sandbox and “society simulator” SEED in 2022 was only topped by its abrupt resurrection and return of the MMO to active development a year later. Testing’s been ongoing throughout much of 2024, with the title currently in “pre-release.”
However, it looks as if SEED may be entering a new phase of hype and promotion with a recent overview video that is clearly trying to sell players on the concept of the game as a cozy sim. It’s nothing more than a flyby of various structures — inside and out — but delivers a sense of this game and what the team is attempting to achieve.
The studio made a fresh elevator pitch for the game, saying, “Ever dreamt of a world where your choices write the story? SEED is a massively multiplayer life-sim where you create, explore, and leave your mark on a world that’s always evolving — even when you’re offline! Build, connect, and leave your mark. Ready to explore? Live it out!”
The next test session is slated for October 24th.
