Developer and publisher Piece of Cake Studios has announced the Early Access release date for spooky co-op heist horror game Dark Hours, and it’s arriving later this month.
Per a press release, Dark Hours will launch on PC via Steam Early Access on October 24th, which should give you plenty of time to rustle up a few friends alongside whom you can take on its haunted corridors.
In said press release, Piece of Cake describes Dark Hours as offering “a high-stakes heist” which is quickly “derailed by a chilling supernatural twist”. You and your friends will have to explore your surroundings and find a way to survive the horror that is now stalking you.
If you’re into games like Phasmophobia or Content Warning, then you’ll probably want to check this one out, as it looks like it’ll offer a similarly terrifying experience for you and your co-op buddies (although you can play it alone if you prefer).
Piece of Cake is promising five unique monsters in the Early Access release, each of which will have its own “deadly abilities”, alongside “surprising game mechanics and objects” which will allow you to either co-operate with or betray your friends.
Maps in Dark Hours are procedurally generated, so you won’t be able to learn them ahead of time, but the game will offer a variety of missions that come with different challenges.
Bear in mind, too, that this is all part of the Early Access release, so naturally, Dark Hours will be updated with more content as time goes on. In fact, Piece of Cake has already released the Dark Hours roadmap for the next few months, which you can check out here.

Dark Hours launches for PC via Steam Early Access on October 24th. It’ll set you back $9.99, which doesn’t seem too bad for a game that’s designed to be replayed.
