- Delta Force for mobile now has a release date and is set to arrive April 21st
- Will launch with both the extraction shooter Operations and 24v24 Warfare modes
- Promises an edge in terms of performance on the competition
Over the past few months, we’ve been covering, with growing anticipation, the upcoming launch of the tactical FPS Delta Force. This revival of the classic franchise will offer everything from an extraction shooter mode to massive open warfare on an unprecedented scale. And now it’s finally got a solid release date: Delta Force is set to hit iOS and Android on April 21st!
The two modes confirmed for release are the aforementioned Operations Mode, which will be an extraction shooter that offers a dynamic quest grid for you to complete. Meanwhile, it’ll also be accompanied by the much larger and more dynamic Warfare Mode that will offer wide-scale warfare on the land, air and sea.
But perhaps the most interesting piece of information revealed alongside the release date was some of the statistics for technical performance. Promising next-gen graphics and a 30-50% performance edge over competitors, it seems that developer Team Jade is intent on ensuring that Delta Force won’t be melting someone’s phone anytime soon.
Be tactical
I’m cautiously optimistic about Delta Force because the many features on offer here are certainly impressive. And I can’t be the only one who’s glad that a shooter is selling itself on massive multiplayer battles instead of being a pseudo-hero-shooter, and if we do have to have Extraction mode it’s good to balance it out with something more Battlefield-like.
At the same time, I have noted complaints from those playing on PC of there being a major issue with hackers and cheaters. So ideally not only will Delta Force perform well on mobile, but it’ll also be more secure than its PC contemporary.
But if you need a way to tide yourself over why not try something a little unusual and have a go at the newly-released culinary management simulator Good Coffee, Great Coffee for something more laid back?
