Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga DLC Announced, Will Span Four Parts

Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is getting an ambitious new set of DLC packs based on Dragon Ball Super‘s Future Saga arc.

In the DLC’s first chapter, you’ll get to take on a brand new story scenario, with new playable characters being added in the form of Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black and Super Saiyan God Vegeta, both in their Ultra Supervillain forms.

The updated Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 roadmap also promises “other content” as part of this first installment, although we don’t know what that content might be just yet.

Future Saga characters like Goku Black will appear in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2‘s Future Saga DLC.

In the announcement trailer for the DLC, we get to see Goku Black, as well as other key players in the Future Saga like Beerus and Bulma.

Fu also makes an appearance, and the trailer’s description says that he’s “finally on the move” in this new DLC. At the conclusion of the trailer, he seemingly invites the player character to “take a peek at the future”, and wonders “where would be good”.

The trailer’s description says that “an unprecedented change in history” is coming, likely at the hands of Fu, but you’ll have to wait until later this spring to find out how it all comes together.

While you wait, you can check out the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Future Saga DLC announcement trailer right here.

If you’re wondering what exactly Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is, it’s an action RPG that allows players to create their very own Dragon Ball character.

You can explore the universe created by the sadly-departed Akira Toriyama, interact with its inhabitants, and visit iconic locations as you try to protect history from outside forces.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available right now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It’s also making its way to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in May.

The first installment of the Future Saga DLC is set to land sometime in spring. Watch this space for more info. In the meantime, you can check out our Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 review right here.
