Drexel transfer guard Jason “Deuce” Drake is expected to visit Indiana today, Inside the Hall has learned.
A 6-foot-2, 195-pound guard from Oak Park, Michigan, Drake averaged 11.1 points, 3.1 assists and three rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game last season for the Dragons.
Drake shot 42.8 percent from the field, 39.6 percent on 3s and 86.5 percent from the free-throw line. Drexel finished last season 18-15.
He scored in double figures 17 times last season, including a pair of 25-point games.
Drake’s first 25-point effort came in an 86-66 win against William & Mary on February 6 and he went for 25 again in a 91-74 win against Elon in the CAA conference tournament on March 8.
Before Drexel, Drake played at Butler Community College (Kansas) in the 2023-24 season and at Cleveland State in the 2022-23 season.
At Butler Community College, Drake averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds and shot 42 percent on 3s. He had 15 double-figure scoring games.
In his freshman season at Cleveland State, Drake played in 17 games and averaged 1.6 points in 5.6 minutes per game.
Drake played at Ferndale High School for his prep career and helped lead the program to back-to-back Michigan High School Athletic Association Division II Final Fours in 2021 and 2022.
The Hoosiers currently have six transfer portal additions for next season’s roster – Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Jasai Miles and Tayton Conerway.
