Team of the Year, FUT Birthday, and Team of the Season are the big three promos in EA FC each year. These are the only few promos that are reason enough to return to Ultimate Team, no matter how long you’ve been on the sidelines. EA has confirmed FUT Birthday as the next promo heading to EA FC 25 and is said to go live once Fantasy FC leaves.
A couple of cards that are easy guesses have also been teased. Of course, we will have to wait until the promo is live to know the entire squad. But that hasn’t ever stopped leakers from spilling the surprises. They haven’t missed this time, either, by revealing several big players for FUT Birthday.
Below is everything you need to know about the promo in EA FC 25, from start time to all leaked players.
EA FC 25 FUT Birthday Start Date & Time
FUT Birthday in EA FC 25 is confirmed to start on March 7, 2025. As for the exact time, it’d be the usual 10 AM PT (1 PM ET, 6 PM GMT) — that’s the time for daily resets and new promos, so you can make a reminder if you want.
Every year we get FUT Birthday in March to coincide with the Ultimate Team mode’s first-ever release date of March 19, 2009. Teams are released in two batches with each lasting a week. That means you can celebrate the anniversary right on time as the promo won’t leave EA FC 25 until then.
FUT Birthday is expected to leave the game on March 21, 2025, unless there is an unforeseen extension.
EA FC 25 FUT Birthday Leaked Players
As with any other promo in EA FC 25, FUT Birthday players will be added in two batches — Team 1 and Team 2. Each team will feature active players as well as retired ones in Heroes and Icons. We have an in-game hint at three additions: A Norwegian striker who plays for Manchester City, a Brazilian Icon with Trickster+ who plays on the left flank, and a Spanish central midfielder playing for FC Barcelona Femení.
Our humble guess for the first one is Erling Haaland, and the Brazilian Icon is likely to be Ronaldinho Gaúcho. The third one could be Aitana Bonmatí since her base Gold has Technical+. Other obvious choices could be Alexia Putellas, Cláudia Pina Medina, or Patri Guijarro if EA is giving them a CM position card.
We are indeed correct on the first two (it wasn’t hard anyway), as they have been leaked. Here is the full line-up of active players, Icons, and Heroes that are alleged to be featured in the FUT Birthday this year:

These could all be released in Team 1 right at the promo start time we mentioned above. Otherwise, they should be available a week later, on March 14, 2025, at the same time. Besides the standard cards that will be available in packs, there will also be player SBCs which are more reliable to get. One leaked to get his Flashback is the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo. That’s one for the headlines as the Portuguese talisman is always popular among players, despite no longer competing in top-flight football. Of course, given the name, you can bet EA will make it crazy expensive unless you have tons of high-rated fodders.
More cards will be leaked ahead of the promo’s release this Friday. Expect almost the entire team to be revealed by leakers.
What Is FUT Birthday In EA FC 25?
FUT Birthday is an annual staple promo in EA FC that is meant to commemorate the Ultimate Team anniversary in March every year. Popular players will get a pink color-themed card with high stats across the board and either a 5-star Weak Foot or 5-star Skill Move — some will get both. The top cards will be some of the best ones to have on your team and can easily see you through at least until Team of the Season.
All cards featured in each Team will be available to be packed for a week. Upgrade Packs, SBCs, and Objectives will also feature packs for the cards. Daily Login Upgrade, like TOTY Crafting, will also be there. You can save packs before the promo and open them when active to improve the odds of getting one.
