EIHL Champion To Qualify For Champions Hockey League


The Elite League can confirm our league champion for 2024/25 will qualify for the Champions Hockey League in 2025/26.

Three teams are still in contention going into the final weekend of action. Belfast, Sheffield and Nottingham will fight it out over the last two games of the regular season to become champion and relive more memorable European hockey nights.

The Elite League’s representative in the 2025/26 Champions Hockey League will follow on from the Sheffield Steelers impressive showing this season.

Sheffield advanced to the Round of 16, finishing 10th from 24 sides. Their unforgettable season in the CHL featured four impressive wins including those over the 2023/24 Runners Up, Skelleftea, and Zurich, the eventual 2024/25 champions.

Off the ice – the Elite League fans continue to be regarded as some of the best in Europe. Indeed, the Steelers average attendance of 8,229 saw them top the overall standings with a remarkable 1,583 per game more than second place.
