The Elite Ice Hockey League is thrilled to confirm that attendance numbers for the 2024/25 season have surpassed one million!
It is the fourth time that the league’s overall attendances have gone over 1,000,000 spectators in a single season, and the third in a row that the league has surpassed the milestone. This season also marks the earliest time the league has gone over a million spectators in a season with 10 teams competing.
Including the Challenge Cup Final, which was played this week in front of a sold-out crowd of 6,149 fans in Belfast, a total of 1,021,727 fans have attended Elite League games this season. A total of 1,133,816 fans were recorded in 2023/24. The EIHL is currently averaging 3,560 fans per game.
With the league title race still very much open, and the race for the playoffs continuing, as well as the Playoff Finals Weekend on track to be sold out on weekend passes alone, the league is set to finish this season with its highest ever average attendance per game in it’s 22-year history.
