Ethen Frank, Hardy Haman Aktell Among Five Players Placed On Waivers By Washington Capitals


The Washington Capitals placed left-wing Ethen Frank, centers Riley Sutter and Alex Limoges, and defensemen Hardy Haman Aktell and Chase Priskie on waivers on Saturday following their 8-4 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets the previous night, according to PuckPedia.

The AHL’s Hershey Bears, the Capitals’ minor league affiliate, are set to open their training camp on Monday.

Washington’s training camp roster is down to 46 players left after waiving these five players. The most recent roster, which was published after the team’s first round of cuts on Tuesday, can be found here.

The Capitals have two exhibition games remaining (at Columbus on Monday, vs. Boston Bruins on Saturday, October 5).

Their final 23-man roster is due at 5 PM ET on Monday, October 7. Washington will open the regular season on Saturday, October 12 vs. the New Jersey Devils.
