Exoloper is every veteran Mechwarrior’s dream of heavy-metal action, now in open beta for iOS

Reactors online…

  • Exoloper brings the hardcore mech-battling action of the 90s to modern mobile
  • It’s currently in testflight on iOS but has already caught our eye
  • Careful loadout selection is key to surviving hardcore mecha battles

It’s not hard to understand the visceral action of mech-on-mech combat. On the one hand, it’s just as exciting and adrenaline-fuelled as any duel, but on the other, there’s no need to worry about blood, guts or any of that gory stuff. Just good old-fashioned explosions, wires being shredded and sparks flying, and that’s exactly what Exoloper is all about.

Coming from developer Anchorite Games, you may remember their previous work on space combat simulator Interloper. And now rather than resurrecting the old-school spaceflight fantasies of yore, they’re tackling hardcore giant robot battles in the heart of enormous cyberpunk cities.

From a first-person perspective, you’ll leap into the cockpit of a mech and blast your way through a variety of opponents as you progress through a campaign. You’ll need to carefully select your weapons and loadout to not only outwit but outgun your enemies. If you’re a fan of Mechwarrior who needs to take the fun with them on mobile, this might be the one for you.

While Exoloper hasn’t officially launched just yet, you can get your hands on it now. The game is currently in open beta on TestFlight, so if you’re particularly interested you can dive in now. Alternatively, if you’re not the early access sort, you can keep up to date with the development of Exoloper ahead of an expected winter launch on the official site.
