The Henderson Silver Knights fell to the Coachella Valley Firebirds, 3-1, at Lee’s Family Forum on Friday evening.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Forward Jonas Rondbjerg put Henderson on the board first at 15:08 in the opening period. Alexander Holtz and Tanner Laczynski picked up the assists on the play. Rondbjerg now has goals in his last three games and five points in his last six.
Coachella’s Nikolas Brouillard tied the game with less than three minutes left in the period. Less than a minute later, he tallied another to make it 2-1 headed into the first intermission.
The Firebirds extended their lead to two with one minute remaining in the second period.
The third period remained scoreless, with Nikke Kokko stopping 18 of 19 shots to secure a 3-1 Coachella victory.
