Garena Free Fire to collab with hit sports anime Blue Lock

  • New crossover coming this season
  • Themed cosmetics, emotes and more will be added
  • Blue Lock is a popular anime series focusing around the titular football training program

Garena Free Fire is dashing into winter with a major new collab, and it’s definitely shooting for the stands as hit sports series Blue Lock joins the battlefield. Fans will be able to collect the jerseys of iconic characters, and compete to gain a bevy of other in-game goodies.

Blue Lock is a hit sports series airing in Japan that sees some of the country’s top strikers locked in the titular Blue Lock Facility. Under the guidance of sports whizz Jinpachi Ego, only one of the contestants will go on to represent the national team, while the others will be banned from football forever.

In the new Blue Lock collab, fans can grab the jerseys of many of the series characters like Isagi Yoichi and Nagi Seishiro. By logging in and completing missions they’ll also be able to grab a whole host of other themed weapons, skins, vehicles and more as part of the collab, which runs from November 20th to December 8th!

He shoots, he scores

When I was in Japan a month or so ago I spotted quite a few announcements and advertisements for Blue Lock. Despite the anime getting more than a little flak for the somewhat dicey quality of the animation, it seems to have proven to be a massively popular series domestically, and if this collab is any evidence, also across the rest of the East.
