Gorgeous 4X Game Songs of Silence With Music By Final Fantasy Tactics Composer Hits Kickstarter

Today Chimera Entertainment launched a Kickstarter campaign for its 4X Strategy Game Songs of Silence.

The developer asked for a fairly modest €23,000 as the base goal, and over €19,000 have already been pledged, but the possibility of stretch goals has already been mentioned.

You can find the campaign on Kickstarter if you’d like to contribute, and a demo is already available play on Steam if you don’t want to go on faith alone. The campaign will end on April 25, 2024, at 6:29 p.m. CEST.

The game is already quite close to completion, with early access on Steam launching on May 23, 2024. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will come with the full release, scheduled for Q4 2024. Plans for DLC all the way to Q3 2025 and beyond have already been announced as well.

The beautiful Art Nouveau art style is certainly one of the elements that set this game apart, but the score is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, whom you may know for his work on Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII, Tactics Ogre, the Valkyria Chronicles series, Dragon’s CrownOdin Sphere13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Astria Ascending, and many more beloved games.

Songs of Silence involves classic 4X strategy gameplay reminiscent of Heroes of Might and Magic, but it comes with its own twists.

While the strategy part is played on a classic large-scale map, battles are fought tactically on the battlefield supported by an interesting card system representing spells, unique actions, and orders granted by heroes and locations.

Three factions are available, the Thousand Kingdoms, the Firstborn, and the fanatical Crusade. Each faction has its own heroes and fighting style. Players will be able to field armies while choosing among over 100 different units.

There will be a single-player story campaign and a Skirmish mode, both in single-player and in multiplayer.
