Throughout the 2024-25 season, we’ll periodically update you on former Hoosiers in the NBA.
The 2024-25 NBA regular season is nearing completion and seven former Hoosiers are in the league. Here’s an updated look at how each player has performed thus far:
OG Anunoby, New York Knicks
With just three regular-season games left, the Knicks are in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 50-29 record.
In his second season with New York, Anunoby has played in 73 games – all starts – and is averaging 18 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 36.6 minutes per game. The scoring and minute averages are both career highs.
Anunoby is shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 37.5 percent on 3s and 81.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Thomas Bryant, Indiana Pacers
The 27-year-old Bryant has appeared in 53 games for the Pacers since a trade from Miami in December.
Bryant has made seven starts for Indiana, averaging seven points and four rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game.
The Rochester, New York native is shooting 52 percent from the field, 32 percent on 3s and 82.4 percent from the line.
Eric Gordon, Philadelphia 76ers
Gordon played in just 39 games for Philadelphia this season before undergoing season-ending surgery.
The 36-year-old had surgery on his right wrist in late February and the team announced that he would be reevaluated in about three months.
The Indianapolis native started 13 games this season for the 76ers and averaged 6.8 points, 1.7 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 19.7 minutes. He shot 42.6 percent from the field, 40.9 percent on 3s and 75 percent from the foul line.
Jalen Hood-Schifino, Philadelphia 76ers
Still just 21 years old, Hood-Schifino has played extended NBA minutes for the first time in his career over the last month.
After a trade from the Lakers sent him to Utah, Hood-Schifino was released and Philadelphia signed him to a two-way contract.
In 11 games with Philadelphia, Hood-Schifino has played 21.9 minutes per game, averaging eight points, 2.5 assists, and 1.7 rebounds. He’s shooting 40.3 percent from the field, 30 percent on 3s and 82.4 percent from the line.
Trayce Jackson-Davis, Golden State Warriors
Despite a strong start to the season, Jackson-Davis fell out of the rotation in Golden State in late January. Since Jan. 25, he’s logged more than nine minutes in a game just once, as Quinten Post has taken over most of his minutes.
On Tuesday night, Jackson-Davis finished with 13 points and eight rebounds in 19 minutes of a blowout 133-95 win at Phoenix.
For the season, the former IU All-American is averaging 6.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 16 minutes per game. He is shooting 57.6 percent from the field and 57.8 percent on free throws.
Kel’el Ware, Miami Heat
As we wrote on Tuesday, Kel’el Ware is in line to be a first-team All-rookie selection.
The 20-year-old has started 33 times for Miami and averages 9.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 22.1 minutes.
He’s shooting 55.4 percent from the field, 31.8 percent on 3s and 68.7 percent from the line.
Cody Zeller, Houston Rockets
Zeller was traded from Atlanta to Houston in early February.
He has not appeared in a game and his NBA career could be over after the season.
