Indiana’s leading scorer, Yarden Garzon, will enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports on Monday morning.
According to the reports, Garzon is listed as a “do not contact” in the portal.
A native of Ra’anana, Israel, the 6-foot-3 guard was a second-team All-Big Ten honoree as a junior.
Garzon started all 97 games she appeared in over the last three seasons for the Hoosiers and owns career averages of 12.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 31 minutes per game.
She made 220 3-pointers over her three-year career for the Hoosiers, a school record.
Garzon’s freshman season, the 2022-23 campaign, was her most efficient as a perimeter shooter. She averaged 11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and three assists in 29.9 minutes per game. Garzon was 70-for-153 from distance that season, good for 45.8 percent.
As a sophomore, Garzon’s scoring average grew slightly to 11.7 points per game. She was 62-for-147 on 3s (42.2 percent) and also averaged 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 29.5 minutes per game.
Her most productive statistical season came as a junior when she averaged 14.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals in 33.5 minutes per game. Garzon connected on 88 3-pointers and shot 40.7 percent from distance.
She set a career-high with 35 points in a pivotal 73-70 road win at Washington on January 27. For her career, Garzon is a 42.6 percent 3-point shooter and is 126-for-154 (81.8 percent) from the free-throw line.
Garzon has one season of eligibility remaining. She is the sixth IU women’s player to enter the transfer portal this spring, joining Lilly Meister, Lexus Bargesser, Julianna LaMendola, Henna Sandvik and Sharnecce Currie-Jelks.
