The Sacramento Kings have ruled Kevin Huerter out of tomorrow’s game due to a left shoulder dislocation, based on the team’s official injury report. We are still waiting for any sort of official medical update from the Kings regarding an expected time frame for Huerter to be out, but even a relatively minor dislocation likely puts Huerter out for several weeks. Mike Brown indicated in his post-game comments on Monday that Keon Ellis would take over Huerter’s starting spot for the time being.
The Kings may also be getting Sasha Vezenkov back from injury. Vezenkov reportedly went through a full pre-game shootaround yesterday, and is now listed as Questionable for the game against the Raptors. With Trey Lyles out, getting Vezenkov back would be a welcome boost for the Kings bench.
For the time being, we’ll hope that Sasha is back full strength soon, and we’ll wish Kevin a speedy recovery from what looked like a very painful injury. We will provide an update if we hear more from the Kings.
