Aleksa Ristic, who committed to IU basketball last month, had a standout performance Monday afternoon for Serbia in the FIBA U20 Eurobasket 2025 in Heraklion, Greece.
The 6-foot-4 Ristic scored a game-high 22 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, as Serbia beat France 84-65 to finish group play unbeaten.
Ristic was 8-for-13 from the field, including a 6-for-6 mark on 2s. The incoming IU guard was 2-for-7 on 3-pointers and 4-for-5 from the free throw line.
He also had eight assists, another game-high, to go along with a rebound and three turnovers in 33 minutes. Serbia was +18 with Ristic on the floor.
Through three games in Greece, Ristic is averaging 13.6 points, 6.3 assists, a rebound and 0.7 steals in 29.7 minutes per game.
Serbia will now play Ukraine on Wednesday afternoon in the round of 16.
Ristic will join the IU program at the end of the FIBA U20 Eurobasket, which concludes on Sunday with the championship, third place and consolation games.
