Josef Mysak, Ivan Zivlak ink pro deals in native countries


Defenseman Ivan Zivlak and Josef Mysak have signed their first professional contracts; each player signed a deal in their native countries.

Zivlak, 22, was a four-year member of the Warriors. As a senior this past season, he recorded nine points (3g-6a) in 32 games, and he appeared in 106 career games, totaling 18 points (4g-14a). Zivlak signed a deal with IF Troja-Ljungby in HockeyAllsvenskan, which is the second-highest professional team in Sweden behind the SHL. Filip Forsmark and Adam Arvedson both played for IF Troja-Ljungby this past season.

Mysak, 25, played his graduate season at Merrimack and recorded 10 points (2g-8a) in 34 games. He signed a deal with HC Energie Karlovy Vary in Czechia’s Extraliga, the highest pro league in the country.
