Of all the series in the first round, it’s Nuggets-Clippers that’s the most aesthetically pleasing to me. Every other matchup seems to be mucked up with players broken down. Denver is certainly dealing with their bumps and bruises and they’re down 2-1 in their series with LA, but I’ll never count out Nikola Jokic and the craftiness of his game. And with the re-emergence of Playoff Kawhi Leonard, we’re two future Hall of Famers at the top of their games.
Game 4 doesn’t tip off until 6 pm EST, so let’s check in with our friends at FanDuel to find a player prop to add a little juice to the game. Nikola Jokic averaged a triple-double in the regular season and he’s repeated that through three games against the Clippers with 26-11-11.7. With nearly the entire starting lineup nursing injuries, he’ll have to fill the box score again to send the series tied heading back to Denver. What makes FanDuel the best place to bet the best players throughout the NBA Playoffs is the ability to custom your slip. For Jokic’s PTS + REB + AST, they have a wide range from 38.5 to 60.5. We’ll take Jokic doing everything at 52.5 at +148.

For Los Angeles, the veterans Leonard and James Harden have been the engines for the Clipper ship. Harden has averaged nine assists a night, including nine in LA’s 117-83 blowout in Game 3. As the series has progressed, Harden has taken a back seat in terms of scoring with Norm Powell and Ivica Zubac emerging as reliable contributors. Tonight, Harden could go full general with over 10.5 assists at +182.
So, if the stars step up, who ya got? Maybe it’s wishful thinking because I’d love to see this series go seven games, but give me the former champs on the moneyline at +188. That three-leg Same Game Parlay wins you $136.78 on a $10 wager.
Check out FanDuel for all your weekend NBA bets. Good luck and bet responsibly.
